Just for a laugh I thought of mixing half Tesco Columbian Supremo beans with half of those not so nice Aldi Alcafé beans - it's really good. In fact better than either on their own, which surprised me

I also think I'm done with Ethiopian coffee. I've now tired numerous types and prepared them different ways, but I just don't enjoy the taste.

i usually mix mine. i start by trying them on own then if they are not perfect for my taste they will get blended with something that has other attributes. often works very well

Tried mixing my beans again today (2 different origin Columbian beans), but this time it didn't work out so good. I stupidly changed the grind size too, so I'm not 100% sure if it's that or the combination

Here's my sample pack from North Star in Leeds. Very nicely presented as you can see - 10/10 for that! I really like the fact that they include some interesting notes on the producers of these single origin coffees.

Made a start on the Brazil this morning - doesn't have the inspiring complexity of the Rave coffee but very pleasant and easy drinking. My search for the perfect Brazilian coffee continues; looking forward to trying the Columbian and El Salvador coffee next.

Some thought has gone into that box for sure. I'm fully stocked for a little while with 1.5kg arriving next week from Coffee Compass, but I'll give that a go when my supply dwindles.

Complete double espresso measure into a very small non-frothed microwaved milk shot.

Milk exposed to 30 seconds at 900 Watts before pour.

You can never buy something like this. You have to make it to experience it.

    It is intense.

    The same thing attempted again.

    Yet very different.

Consistency can be hard to achieve

Fabulous! And far better than that anaemic looking thing (all froth and no knickers) you were getting a hard-on about, and posted a pic of the other day....!

It's like the melted inside of a Crunchie bar, deliciously buttery and fudge-like, and simply unctuous!!
