    Like this:

If I'm not drinking through that crema, when having an espresso (or cappuccino), and it sticking to the sides of the cup making rings around the sides, as it's being drunk, like the head on pint of beer does on the accompanying glass, then I won't really enjoy it.

And the denser and thicker, more yellowy brown the crema, the better!

    Marco.
Here is a shot pulled from the single basket (which is apparently more difficult to use due to the shape and the way it extracts etc.).

And as you can see from the photo below, the crema sticks to the side when you swirl it around a bit.

And here is the shot of the "Guinness" in better quality to give you an idea about the thickness etc.

Looks absolutely fab, Kevin - just how I like it (and how a good espresso should be)!

Well, Marco, glad to see that POS is out of the way so soon!

You have had a lot of good advice, TBH. When you read back on this thread when you are wiser you will realise it.

Unfortunately you have to spend some money or get out of the game. Tis just life when it comes to this stuff. And just like hi-fi, you won't ever be 100% satisfied even when you have spent a lot.

Don't you just hate it when your coffee supply runs out and you forgot to buy extra??

And to top it all the local shop had run out ... So I'm on the tea.

Illy coffee beans have a long shelf life due to the way they are packed, which helps.
I have two bags of coffee from Cafe Pfaff which I need to use first.

I quite like it. There actually seems to be loads of it sold it Italy as well.

Here is a double espresso to whet the appetite of Marco, and fuel his drive for a decent coffee machine.

I have just ordered an insulated travel mug so that I can take decent coffee into work.
I think Americano will be the best option for this, either that or espresso to water down to Americano when I get there.
