Well I guess that's the price you pay for experimenting, but I'm inclined to go with Grant's suggestion and toss em', or just use for testing grind sizes or flushing stale grounds out the burrs. They are 500g packs too FFS.

Or I could give it to guests who drink instant with milk and sugar and they'll think I'm giving them gourmet coffee

I have to say for £3.29 a pack the Tesco Colombian Supremo beans often see off some single origin beans at over twice the price . . . go figure!

I'm just finishing off my Brazil Sao Marco from Rave today and tried it with 2 mins brew time instead of the usual 1 min. Your previous words on the subject must have seeped into my subconscious as I'm very happy with the results. Delicious at 1 min but the extra brew time really suits as you get more depth without killing off any of the subtle notes which often happens. It's an exceptional coffee. I really look forward to buying it in beans and grinding my own in the near future ...

Tis good at £4.50 but at £3.50 it is a steal.

Good shout Justers, I made a special trip to Sainsbury's today (never go there normally, too far) and it's on offer at the moment for £3.50 - I bought the last 3 bags on the shelf! Interestingly there were oodles of their other beans there, but seems there had been a run on the Cacao Superior Columbian, which I took as a good sign . . . maybe someone else has been reading this thread?

Anyhoots, I really like them, I'll have to do a Pepsi challenge with the Tesco beans, but these might just pip them and could become my new go-to bean. Top man
Noticed you can also get them on Amazon for £3.50 a bag if you buy by the half dozen, or £19.95 for 6 if you subscribe to a regular delivery. Once I've got them dialled in how I like them, I might just stop messing around with speciality roasters as it's too variable and does my head in, I just want the same cup of good coffee daily. I hate chasing my tail.

There is quite a bit of buggering about you can do with an Aeropress to improve the end product, but brew times and water temperature can be key if you can't change much else. I tried all sorts of combinations, till I got what I liked and is part of the reason I like to stick to a consistently good bean, as everytime you change you have to go through the whole trial and error process again. Bit like fecking HiFi and I can't be arsed with buggering about with that once I'm happy either, I just want to play music.

I might just try those Rave Sao Marco beans though.

You get the idea tho. Nice the way the milk combines with the crema. It's a lot to do with the way you pour the milk

Yup, defo get the idea, and also agree about much depends on how you pour the milk, as indeed I've discovered myself. Plus, frothing never comes as good as it does with brand new, fresh milk.
