Nah that's bollocks in my book.Nice, but why didn't you use the steam wand on your machine? One thing I've learned (among many others) is that steamed milk tastes MILES better than anything made on a milk frother!

It's just a different style. And it's easier.
Nearly all the shots you see of mine are using the steam wand but they aren't that brilliant in some ways.
Think about it. You are condensing steam into the milk and watering it down. And the latest Nespresso frother definitely produce finer microfoam than a steam wand.
I know someone who always microwaves his milk as he prefers the taste. And it does taste good I think. Most of my coffee is made using a microwave and a decent thermos.

And to ME, the effect isn't subtle (much sweeter and creamier steamed with the wand), than it was with the milk frother I was using... I can't comment on what you're using, as I've not tried it. But it's certainly true in my circumstances

Different milks steam differently. Done right it's a bit like light double cream. Fill fat is easiest
