Always loved the material but the orange CBS vinyl cuts imho are utterly shite .. really flat.
This premium reissue, although nearly poxy £50...really is like hearing a totally different record

One of the best things about it is that no one who contributes here is in the least bit judgmental about other's choice in music, or has airs of superior taste. Feel free to add your own old favourites or new discoveries to the chat. You live in an area (the American south) with a rich jazz and blues tradition. Is there a lively local scene in your town or nearby? Any young up-and-comers that we should hear? Part of the fun is hearing artists from other parts of the world that we may never have known about if not for a shout-out here. For example, I've introduced the guys to a few Canadian musicians (e.g. Jane Bunnet, Emilie-Claire Barlow, etc.), and in return I have picked up on some terrific UK artists (Matthew Halsall, Go Go Penguins) which I really enjoy.
