As a general comment, I find that many artists who play in this style can sound rather sterile, lacking emotion. Sakamoto is one of the few who really move me.

Hi Svend, really liked the Ryuichi Nakamoto, I think it's a collection /compilation lp?
loved the pace, air and the emotion. Good choice mate.

Glad you liked it Adam. I will be exploring more of his albums soon, so if another seems worthy of sharing here I will post again.

Thanks for the recommendation of Bugge and Henning. Not familiar with them...will have a listen later today. Should be a nice way to unwind after a busy week...glass of whiskey and some new music to check out.

    Best,

No, no...the whiskey is strictly for medicinal purposes. Proven fact: It keeps the bugs away. Surely that doesn't count for the Dry January drought.

    Beautiful LP

Good recommendation Adam. Really enjoyed it. Just the thing to ease into the weekend . I noticed on Spotify that it marked the songs as being Traditional -- I suppose that means these are adaptations of traditional folk melodies? I will have to check that out. Wonderful melodies. I will definitely give that another spin. Saved to my library
