What Jazz or Blues are you spinning?

I know that fusion is not everyones cup of tea but the musicianship and execution on this album is stunning, I had not read the notes and thought this is exceptional guitar playing and sort of recognised it, turns out to be Stanley Jordan no wonder! Stanley Clarke does his usual stuff perfectly and the other musicians are superb.Well worth a listen.

I agree - "Fusion" is a matter of taste, and in general I'm not much of a fan of it. But there are a few exceptions, and Stanley Clarke is one of them.

I came across Carey Bell by accident for a recommended test/listening track for HiFi, and like it so much I decided to hunt down some of his recordings. Initially I went for this complication which is excellent. All relatively unknown Blues artists, but all very good musicians. I might have to get some more of this series.
