I saw Melanie De Biasio do this live at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2017, she extended this piece to half hour or so, and it was pretty impressive.
Has a great breathing technique and really transmits her inner soul to it. It was very sparse with lots of atmosphere. Quite ECM ish..
I have it on vinyl (only came as a 12" EP) and whilst I like it, it was much better live, with her theatrical on stage style. (there maybe a live video on you tube of her performing)
Her other material is very interesting and good too. She was remixed and messed with on an alternative Lp. of material by some big producers.
Inspired to dig this out an have a listen over the weekend.

There must have been some tubas in New Orleans bands I've seen plenty of pictures with them in.Fun! This must be the first time ever hearing a tuba in a jazz ensemble. Love it! Very funky
