    That Chicken Pathia was hotter than usual, too hot and I couldn't finish it. I derived amusement from getting my wife and sister-in-law to try it....

    Then my wife admitted that she'd told the chaps (whom we know well) that it was my birthday....

    A good Pathia is one of my favourite curries, but I rarely eat it nowadays because the trend nowadays seems to be to make it too sweet. It's supposed to be hot & sour - I can't abide sweetness in savoury dishes.
