Just fancied fish and chips and it's only round the corner. Now washing it down with 4 cans of Guinness. You've got to enjoy yourself while you can and I've not been able to booze all week. Tastes like nectar.

Given up enjoying myself. It generally costs too much and as for entertainment round here, there is none!

I was going to say 'bollocks', but being the polite type, I won't.

On the plus side you're handy for central London.

I like it here because it's quiet. Liverpool is many things but it is not quiet, except maybe out in the leafy suburbs. Here I am only 5 minutes walk from the town but there's hardly even a car goes past after 1900.

It might only be eight miles away, but I've not been there for thirty years. It's a cesspit. The tourist bits don't interest me and they're the only parts that are kept in some sort of order.

I'm glad you like it, but have to say that I much prefer Liverpool to Stoke, as it's got so much more going on, in almost every area you can think of! It's just much more cosmopolitan, which I like. No offence, but the bits I've seen of Stoke town centre look rather run down [and badly in need of modernising], as if no money's been spent on it for about 30 years!

Reminds me rather of Glasgow in the 1970s...

I like quiet too, *but* not in a city. If that's the case, I like to be at the centre of the 'action'. In terms of Liverpool, around bold street or Chinatown would suit me fine. Other than that, if I wanted quiet, there are some beautiful Edwardian town houses in Faulkner St I could happily live in! I like it around Sefton Park too, as it's quite 'leafy' there
