I would say no, not directly anyway. Though if sedentary work wasn't balanced with regular exercise, toilet habits could be affected. Infrequent dumps gives it time to 'compact' and makes it harder to shift.
I had them, or one, a few years ago, fortunately only for a couple of weeks, and that came from straining I'm sure. Not all it's 'cracked' up to be
