If you muddle up front with back when putting on a jumper or T shirt look for the label sewn in the bottom of the side seam and put it bottom left. Works every time.

I just know you're all checking.

Provided you don't put it on inside out

My dad told me about when his brother once came to stay for a week, and brought his new girlfriend with him. She was a total slob. Every morning she came downstairs wearing the same white t shirt, which accumulated more and more ketchup stains down the front as the week wore on.

Then one morning she came down in another white t shirt, this one apparently stain free - until she took her cardigan off...

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

why is it if you don't check first you'll put it on back to front every time, even though it should be a 50-50 chance?

But there is a label sewn on the inside at the back of the neck of all the shirts I have. The only time I rummage around looking for labels at the side near the base is to check the washing and ironing details.

I always twig that my shirt is on back to front when I struggle with the buttons.

I worry more about people that wear their trousers back to front.
