Because the media said there might be shortages so everyone went to fill up all at the same time whether they needed to or not. If there was no story there'd have been no queues.

    Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Delay in your parcel would be Polish customs. Also the reduction in air travel due to the pandemic means less flights to put shipments on so it might have been sat around for a while awaiting its turn.

Obviously pre-Brexit the parcel would not have needed to have been processed by Polish customs, increase in price will be Polish VAT at 23% plus all shipping prices have gone up since Covid.

Yes, too many SHEEPle and not enough PEOPLE! Dumb fucks... I agree, but everyone knowledgeable about this matter I've heard on TV recently still partly blames Brexit, and for good reason. I'm sorry, you'll not convince me that leaving the EU has *zero* to do with our current fuel problems.

Well, there you go, so as that would've caused a good chunk of the delay, Brexit was to blame. So can you see why I can see NO advantages whatsoever in it for MY lifestyle and ME, unless you can think of any? Can you blame me then for not voting for it...?

Oh, and you still haven't said who's to blame for parcels to Germany now costing double what they did pre-Brexit! Are you sure Brexit isn't to blame in ANY way?

And I'd appreciate an answer to that this time, rather than more avoidance tactics!!

I don't blame you for voting against Brexit! I might have if remain had won though...

Germany, Poland it's all the same - you now pay VAT when you didn't before. That was the EU's idea. Plus Covid has increased shipping charges to everywhere.

Brexit was not actually about improving your life so that might be why you feel short-changed

    Ha- very good!

Yes, the EU's idea, as a result of Brexit. Would they have had that idea, or indeed implemented it, if the UK had remained part of the EU?

Plus, 20% VAT doesn't explain why posting things to Germany now costs more than DOUBLE what it did before. That only accounts for 20% of the increase. What about the rest...??

Brexit was not actually about improving your life so that might be why you feel short-changed
HAHAHA, oh I know - that's why I didn't vote for that pish. However, what aspects of YOUR life did you consider would be improved, as a result of leaving the EU? You must've thought it would be a good thing for you in some way, either in the short, medium or long term, so I'm curious as to what that was?

Btw, I'm only interested in what Macca thought would benefit Macca DIRECTLY in Macca's day to day life, not any wider, complicated high-brow political shit.

And another thing, from my POV, let's see how much more it costs when I'm next in France or Italy and want to bring a shedload of wine back in the car!!

    Marco.

P.S So you're still saying that Brexit has ZERO, ZILCH, NADA to do with our current fuel crisis?

    Self-fulfilling prophecy.
Shouldn't that be a "self fuel filling prophecy"?

For me personally it hasn't really made any difference at all. Except they took the EU Swastika down from the flagpole outside of work. That was a good day.

I don't think it's anything to do with Brexit, no. Not unless the Americans, Germans and Chinese all had Brexit too.

I already said that shipping costs have gone up due to the pandemic as demand for air freight has massively outstripped supply.

It's funny that we have a global pandemic that has massively affected every aspect of everything in the world and yet people are still claiming 'It's Brexit!'.
