    My little dear died at about 04.00 this morning. God I miss her; 11 years of routines.

    I can't go in the shop at the moment without the lady asking me about the census:

    'Why are they asking these questions?' 'Do I have to answer them?' 'Why have I never had to do this before?' (She's lived in the UK for fifty years so your guess is as good as mine on that last one).

    She's in a quandary because it's asking her to list her son's GCSE results and he can't remember them. The son is about 24 tops.

    See they are going to start producing microwave boilers for central heating. Supposedly 96% efficient and low polluting. Should be about similar prices. So that means twice the cost
