Are you sure you are not misquoting the late Gilbert Briggs concerning loudspeakers?

It's a shame the "seventies" look has fallen out of favour - much cheaper than dental floss, and more fun too. The only downside was that communication was more difficult due to the sound deadening - "how do you like that then" just comes out as "mmmmff, mmm, mmmffff".

Time for a bit of lateral thinking: a clever solution to a problem which didn't really exist is to grow a beard. A bit like sticking bits of carpet to the soles of your slippers as a cheap alternative to carpeting your living room

Don't be looking at me like that, I didn't start it, I just piled on
the rug won't be completely threadbare Steve... just a nice middle line I reckon would look good... kinda pointing the way in case my guy looses his way

Sorry I don't like the 70's look but I'll leave some fluff behind in the important areas... I totally 'get' the bit about the 'sound deadening'

I'm not too keen on beards but they can be ok for a tickle I guess...

    No worries, 'pile it on'....

Gilbert Briggs wrote a few books on loudspeaker design - try 'Briggs on Loudspeakers'.
