You need to be quick on your feet to get away with that, as I'm told wasps don't like that sort of thing. At the moment the best I can manage is a brisk limp

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I used to have a girlfriend who's skirts were so short (only a couple of inches below 'sea level'), she would have to wear matching knickers for the sake of appearance.

Was going to go down the chippy yesterday, couldn't because the cops had sealed off the end of the street, some women been murdered. You don't get that every day.

You paint a very appealing picture of life in sunny Portsmouth. The tourist board must be rubbing their hands together, but don't let them take advantage of your good nature - an open-top double decker bus stopping outside your house may be your first clue.

This bloke I used to work with, his wife liked her short skirts, even more than she disliked underwear. Not that I ever noticed...

One sunny day a mate was having a birthday party for his four year old daughter, and they had cake, pop, balloons, party games...and a bouncy castle. this woman was banned from using it after some of the other parents complained.
