Those were the days! Now I'm doing well if I can get the old spunk gun to point in that direction.

As the "Oldest Swinger In Town" said: "It takes me all night to do what I used to do all night".
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

She's still younger than me though, and to be honest I see much worse ones at half her age dragging their kids round the pound shops. In those leggings that make their legs look like two piles of crumpets.

But not quite as nice as the one you posted earlier this year, Dana Delaney. In fact there's no comparison.

Went to a wedding last Saturday - that's two this year and a christening as well. At my time in life I seem to be going to more far more funerals than I would care, so it is nice to celebrate peoples' start in life and not their end.

I haven't bought any CDs or LPs for the last fortnight. Usually I can buy up to five or more a week. What's going on?

You've come to the end of the music that's actually worth buying? That happened to me years ago.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

That's certainly true, but I have to admit that, out with of the eating and drinking part, I'm no fan of weddings, particularly if you only know a small percentage of folks there, which unless it's your own, is often the case! The same goes for Christenings, as I don't 'do' cooing over babies either.

I'm not one for engaging in 'small talk' at the best of times, and so sitting round a table for hours talking shite to some stranger about pish I'm not in the slightest bit interested in (their kids or whatever), bores me to tears!

And then you've got the 'night do', and having (yet again) to sit at a table for hours, only this time deafened by some shite music, playing through a pair of even more SHITE distorted speakers, by some dimwit 'DJ', such that you can't hear anyone speak, then having to smile and endure watching a load of old grans and kids 'dancing' to the 'Birdie Song' (or whatever), and pretending to enjoy yourself, whilst inside you're cringing and DYING to get home, isn't exactly my idea of fun!!

Sounds familiar...? Consequently, I avoid them like the plague.
