More trivial trivia. Another example of 'have people really got nothing better to do'!

It is true though, bountys are crap. I've got a tub of celebrations here with bountys still in it from last Xmas.

I mean if you're going to buy a Mars advent calendar you deserve what you get. I made sure I got a Cadbury's advent calendar because I'm old and experienced in such things. It was only a quid and there's a chocolate behind every door. When I was little they were more expensive and there was only 1 chocolate behind the last door. Me and my brothers would have to draw lots for it.

And it was crap chocolate too, not even a proper brand. Not as bad as Caramac of course. But even so these youngsters don't know they're born.

My daughter reckons I am the only person she knows who likes Bounties. That's fine with me, I'm going to rescue them from everyone's Celebrations tins this year. Honestly, what's wrong with the world?

And Caitlin, who has 'never been so disappointed in all her life', clearly has never had a one night stand with anyone from Chorley.

Admittedly Bounty bars aren't as good as I remember them being as a kid, when they came on a little cardboard raft. Although my favourite was always "Old Jamaica" which contained rum flavoured raisins. Now they were proper.

Just rooted out a 454g bag of Celebrations which Anita had squirrelled away for Christmas, and as she's out of the house for an hour or two, I thought I'd have a quick count. 48 chocolates in total, 5 of which were bounties, plus one empty bounty wrapper, so clearly someone at the factory DOES like them. 5 out of 48 is no hardship, and an advent calendar with 1 out of 24 less so.

I say 5 out of 48 were bounties, as I've just scoffed them all. The bag is resealable, so it's now back in the cupboard, and I should be able to evade detection till the big day. Anyway, eating something no one else wants is no crime.

I think you've all forgotten that Bounties are the taste of Paradise.
