Well. perhaps it's best not to joke about it, I've seen too many pass away these last few years. In the last two years, my good boss from when I was at GEC / Marconi / BAE Systems, and my good boss from when I was at Electrolux.

Did you have the full nuptial mass though? Also depends on how many hymns they have. They can really pad it out. One I went to they had the hymns printed out and made into a booklet they handed out to everyone as they walked in. It was the size of a 'phone directory! Not so bad these days as it used to be as you can have a crafty look at your 'phone now and again to relieve the tedium.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

If I was going to do it would have to be in Las Vegas. Just me and her, in and out in five minutes with 20 dollars worth of complimentary chips.

Ha - I'm surprised you have to ask... Of course! One of my old school mates, who later became a priest, married us (in 1991), and we (Del and I) both enjoyed every minute of the wedding ceremony. Didn't last any longer than 2 hours, though

Still have the video, orders or service, and all sorts.

My brother had his friend record his wedding on video. Then my sister went and taped Coronation Street over it, I kid you not. The bride was inconsolable. To be fair, he should have broke off the tab

You see if he'd had the full Catholic there's still be another 2 hours or so left of it on the tape after Corro had finished.
