Oooh.....suits you, sir! Some of them might like that though, particularly the sad, henpecked inadequates of this world, as it's the only 'fun' they're likely to get!

I know a few married couples that really shouldn't be as they are very unhappy and certainly not fulfilled and I just don't understand why they stick together. I think some people are frightened to go it alone for some reason...

I choose to remain single as I'm quite happy to see guys when I need/want to and please myself when I don't... ooops that sounded wrong but you know what I mean..

I left my first wife almost 20 years ago, having been with her for 10 years and married for 5. I got married to her for the wrong reasons, and realised it was better for both of us if I left. I had no affair, hadn't been seeing anyone else or had my eye on anyone, so I did "go it alone" but no one would believe me! Everyone assumed I'd left her for someone else. When I did start dating again a few months later, everyone then assumed she'd been "waiting in the wings" for the dust to settle, which just wasn't true.

Thinking about it, I think it was probably harder for my ex and her family to accept that I'd just left her - if there was another woman then there would be someone to blame, rather than have to accept that it was the "fault" of the marriage just not working.

Never thought I'd get married again, and certainly didn't think I wanted children - now I can't imagine my life any other way - but for my "bachelor years" in between when I had my own flat and could do what I pleased without worry it was a great time, and I certainly wouldn't be scared of being on my own again. And yes, you can't beat "pleasing yourself" can you?

    Absolutely Alex...

I know what you mean about it being maybe easier to 'blame' someone else for a breakup but it sounds like you left for all the right reasons... and well done to you for getting out of a marriage that wasn't working... best way I reckon

The place where I have my pedi's & manicure's does what they call 'specialist waxing'....

Now do I go for it or not?... it might well be very ouchy indeed.... but I do fancy a nice landing strip or the full Hollywood look ... I just can't decide...

Might be better than using chemicals I thought...
