It does depend on the quality of the contents though - when I was a kid we never had a proper 'Christmas stocking', so my mum made do with an old pair of her stockings, which she'd filled with apples oranges and walnuts. I see Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical Officer is talking rubbish, "The NHS is extremely well prepared". Prepared for what? If the Corona Virus gets into the general population, there will be nothing at all he can do about it and the infection will be as catching as a 'normal' Flu epidemic, but with far higher mortality of possibly one in 25 of the afflicted dying. There is potential for maybe a million UK deaths. Scary stuff!

And then you've got spontaneous human combustion. Hundreds of people spontaneously combust every year. It's just not widely reported.

spontaneous human combustion is a myth as such, but can happen as long as an external ignition source is available in the right circumstances.. its rare , a bit like a plane crash..
