Plus, his partner and kids probably don't want him to look like an escaped convict! Honestly, you single blokes, with no-one else to consider and a penchant for tightwaddery, need to acknowledge that others live in a rather different world

To cut a thick and/or long amount of hair, on men or women, PROPERLY, requires SKILL, which is why you have to go to college to be trained and attain the necessary qualifications. Sometimes it pays to put your hand in your pocket and leave certain jobs to the professionals

    Carry on

How do you reconcile that statement with your plans to be self sufficient? You could buy your own hairdresser I suppose, but as far as I know they don't lay eggs, and trying to milk one would just earn you a slap

You trade the hairdresser a bag of carrots or something for a hair cut. Like they do in 'The Good Life'. Although that might only work on TV. In the 1970s.

My Wahl clippers don't use a number, it's just bare clippers. As short as it will go. Mrs. P does it, and that's how she likes it to be. Not a case of my not caring what I look like, more a case of not caring what others think. And if anyone did comment (never happened) I'd just say shut up you tart

A bag of carrots is probably about 20p at Lidl No hairdresser would do hair that cheap. Not even a Covid nosehair trim.

If carrots are that cheap there's not much point in growing your own. Probably better to grow ganja and trade that for goods and services. I'd imagine you could pay most hairdressers with weed. Or with spare parts for an MX5.

If you paid your hairdresser with 2 weeks worth of weed, best leaving it 3 weeks till your next haircut. I suspect Marco's hairdresser get paid in weed by one of her clients, then does his hair the next day
