needless to say I will be sending a strongly worded e-mail to Mr Puma regarding the shoddy quality of his products.
If it was me I'd be snipping 2 small holes at the front and threading a piece of string through the waist to hold them up. Reckon there must be another 25 years left in them (dependent on wear and tear on the seat, particularly with regard to the regularity of noxious escapes of the gaseous variety in that region).

I bet your next pair of tracky bottoms don't last as long. Most stuff you buy nowadays lasts 3 washes and then its f@%d.

I expect the main reason your Pumas lasted so long was because they never got washed!

Consumables like clothing are never intended to be long lived. Puma will have been horrified to find that their products were enjoying such longevity, and no doubt have since addressed the problem.

So you can expect Macca's next trackies to be lacking, with tacky build quality, particularly round the knackies and the storage for baccy. And with a slacky laccy waistband so when you bend down you show yer cracky

I'm still getting good wear from my 1972 Lee Cooper flared jeans and Ravelle cuban heeled cowboy boots.

Macca, are you replacing the Puma tracky bottoms with new Puma or are you moving to Adidas or Nike?

Of course Denim then was real denim - as thick as cardboard! I had a pair of flared Brutus Gold Jeans back in 1977, the denim was so stiff they stood up on their own when I took them off.

The height of fashion here seems to be the 'second time around charity shop' look .

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
