Pt XII - IMF XO tweaks.
My new Janzten 1% tolerance resistors arrived today and here they are installed on the XO, I think they look fetching.
I also managed to get the multimeter out to measure the impedance of the tweeters and bass units on the IMF. They were incredibly well matched with both tweeters measuring 5.8 Ohm +/- 0.2 ohm and the bass drivers bothe measuring 7 Ohm +/- 0.2 Ohm. So overall I'm very happy with the way that this project has worked out. I've got a fantastic pair of speakers and they seem to present all genres of music very well through my valve system. I may need to play around with tweeter height in that I think the IMF's could probably do with being about another 1-2" higher than they currently sit. Until next time....
