Default My DIY 3 way horn system

I am working on my horn system for many years (+15) being all this time convinced of the superiority of the horn principle and not giving up. My last iteration was replacing the midbass with a pair of Audac for which I've got a good price. Now I am even closer to perfection as I understand it

    Just noticed this!

The UL6 is technically the better speaker, and also sonically in a hi-fi sense (overall superior detail and definition), but the 15XRs have better (deeper) bass, and as the system is also used for movies, the twin ABRs [in conjunction with the two Yamaha 10-inch subs, which are hidden] defo add extra 'body' and impact to things such as explosions and gunfire

The 15XRs, however, are no slouches either with music; indeed they sound great. Remember that they've been re-capped with some rather lovely Jantzen Silver Z-caps, see here: http://www.jantzen-audio.com/silver-z-cap/, rewired internally with quality cables, and the terminals at the back upgraded with solid-copper ones from Cardas, so 'stock' they ain't!
