Someone else paired my last phone (or was that 2 phones ago?) but as Renault in their wisdom didn't bother moving the speaker for the UK's right hand drive version of their cars you just got this distant disembodied voice from the passenger footwell, why I haven't bothered pursuing it.

Inspired by this thread I picked up this Rotary off of the bay.
It's clockwork ... and by the look of it pretty much unused since it was bought from H Samuels in Hull in 1984 ...

Keeps damn good time too - when I remember to wind it up

This is the pride and joy though - and my daily wear.
Bought from some shop on holiday years ago.

When I was still employed and timekeeping was very important for my job I would think nothing of spending up to £15 at Argos for a watch but as I was on holiday I thought I'd treat myself and pushed the boat out at £20.
Excellent for when I'm mucking out the gutters or lancing the cat's boil

Kienzle - now there's a name from the past. My parents used to have a Kienzle wall clock in their kitchen.

That’s very good for £20. I hesitate to tell you how much I spent on a watch when I pushed the boat out on holiday.

I posted this on another forum, and after seeing Roy's watches it has tempted me to fork out for this one. https://www.creationwatches.com/prod...atch-9324.html
I also showed this link, incredible value for such a classy looking watch. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071NQTB...link4973751-21

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    How big Grant?

I had to move this one on, 60mm was just too large.
