Last person I dealt with there was Richard Brockman (richard.brockman@watchfinder.co.uk) when I was making enquiries about trading in one of my Rolexes and he advised me to hang on to it because values were rising.
Thanks Roy, I'll do that now.

I have just submitted details of the watch to Knightsbridge Watches.

Maybe after I had the Tudor 10 or so years, my neighbour (now late neighbour) a respected jeweller, valued the watch at £600, so this valuation is likely to might be more than 20 years ago.

This came today, a bit more dressy than I would normally like but the vintage style appealed. And not a battery in sight Roy lol.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I have had an email from a nice lady at Watchfinder explaining as to why they were not interested in my old Tudor.

    "Good afternoon,

    Thank you for your email,

Unfortunately due to the age of your watch it is not a model we purchase.

Thank you for your interest in Watchfinder, sorry we could not be of assistance on this occasion.

    Kind regards,
    "

At least you got an answer but it's odd when you consider they've got this for sale?
