I really like Mondaine watches, I have no idea why I don't own one. I gave one to my other half for xmas a few years ago.

Yep, that's the one, they are based on Swiss railway timekeeping clocks and watches, an excellent pedigree.

    Hi Dave
Have you contacted Swiss time services based in Hockley. I sent my Omega their for a full service
It worked out a lot Cheeper then going through an Omega dealer.

I used Swiss Time Services for my watch, was still dear though (impeccable work though), £500 for a full service & restoration of the case to original standard, which is as much as I paid for the watch!

I paid ~ £500 for a service of my Rolex about 12 years ago, but it was serviced by Rolex trained personnel. Even so, that was about 10x what was originally paid for the watch!

    Default Anyone keen on watches?

I'm afraid my former habit of swapping my Hifi has been put on the back burner since I became a bit of a watch freak!

I now have in my collection, an Omega Seamaster 300 quartz, a Breitling B1, a bi metal Rolex Daytona, a bi metal Rolex GMT 2, and an SS Rolex Submariner.
And down to the lower end with a Kahuna divers watch ( older Submariner look alike) and a watch sold under the brand Gigandet, which looks like a 1966 Paul Newman Daytona, but at a fraction of the price.
    Pics below.
