    It is Roy, yeah.
Know what you mean, and I wouldn’t buy new..even if I could.

2nd hand and paid nowhere near standard prices.
Haggled a huge chunk off it too, the guy was getting divorced and knew he was taking a hit on it resale.
Poor bugger newly divorced and sorting out his finances.

Right place at the right time, one of those.

    116500LN in stainless steel.
Oysterflex rubber strap is only available in gold, white gold, and rose gold versions.
He’d fitted the rubber strap as he preferred the look.
Over on the Rolex forums it’s a bit of a thing apparently, few guys have done it there.
Can see why, the 116500LN SS is half the price of the white gold one.

That and the Monaco were my two grail’s, so when one came up that was “do-able” I bit the bullet and did.

Second hand they sell well above retail, you were lucky.

I like the black face / black rubber strap look, like my Certina.

    Your not wrong mate.
A private sale and just the circumstances the guy was in.
An AD would have bent me over a table.

Certina looks great with the contrasting green second hand, like that one.
