OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

Tea tonight was Del's homemade 'KFC', using her own batter mix, with a whole free-range chicken (for me, the 'bones' are best/tastiest, so legs thighs and wings were used, with breasts saved for something else):







Just trying to get the best light/camera angle to show how crispy (and delicious) the chicken was.. I didn't eat all that (only half), and which was served with lovely creamy/buttery mashed potato, sweetcorn and fresh lemon wedges

Recipe (for hifi dave) to follow (probably tomorrow)!

Quality (as usual), Tony. My wife would love a veggie version of that, say with refried beans? Or simply minus the chicken

Absolutely, just leave out the chicken. Another good option is to do a looser, more liquid version in a frying pan and crack in a few eggs for breakfast.

Not the most aesthetically correct, but super super tasty.

Nice one, and noted. Plus cheers for your comments on the chicken. It was lovely and juicy/succulent inside, and crispy/crunchy on the outside. It really does knock KFC into a cocked hat in terms of both flavour and (especially) healthiness!
