Had a great Brekki this morning that is so simple.. Half a slice of toast, Covered in Avacado with Poached Egg on top & wait for it a nice strong Mug of Yokrshire Tea
In the UK Im sure it is Hilarius, but the only tea I drank was iced . Bags in a jar in the sun during very hot days.
Tea was never a thing for me, I didn't grow up around anyone who drank tea. My wife drinks chi tea ,she puts a tea bag in very little water boils it ,removes the bag adds 3x more milk than water then a butt ton of spices.
I wanted to taste the tea, A good tea and found it is a nice change from coffee. I was told to try Digestives with my tea,use no sugar but dip a biscuit. I don't like Digestives. Even our 4 Rats preferred short bread cookies only one would eat the digestive. Now that is funny.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Just looked at your photo - of course the digestives weren't palatable, they were sugar free

Mcvities digestives with tea, no need to dip - it spoils the crunch.

Or ginger nuts, love them (there's an opening if ever there was one).

Very nice, Barry. Good combination of ingredients and flavours. The straw mats just add to the overall charm!

Seriously though, I love those plates, which remind me very much of ones I've often eaten from in restaurants in France
