I've been using Tesco for years for my online groceries and rarely have any issues. They do point out on the receipt and short dates and you can reject them if you wish. I tried Asda a few times but their dates are very iffy, sometimes same day so I don't use them a lot.

I use Asda for online groceries & can't recall any problems with adjacent dates but, as has been said, you can always reject an item.
Light tea of a 'pie floater' tonight, going out for a beer or three later and the club lays on a free buffet which I usually avail myself of
