But particularly they're usually too selfish, so don't get the concept of 'give and take'/compromise, and just cry 'divorce' as soon as the going gets tough or they don't get their own way. Plus, I've been brought up in a family with numerous successful, long-term marriages, so for me it's the norm

    Nope - over here this year and my sister is hosting so, whilst I will of course volunteer to peel spuds and the like, I'm going to be relaxing for a change! I have been put in charge of cocktails, however, which I I will take very seriously...

    We're hosting for New Year, however - two other couples are coming to us from Saturday 28th until Wednesday 1st, which will be a right laugh. There will be walking, golfing, a cinema trip, at least two cocktail bars, three meals out and a day in a local hotel's spa for massages!

    A late breakfast we had in a local garden centre today before getting a few last bits of shopping (including 10 cds for a £1 in the charity shop!).

    Not bad for £6.99 including a proper coffee or pot of tea
