So a very nice day indeed in Shrewsbury doing some early xmas shopping before it goes crazy and to end the day a visit to one of our favourite restaurants.

    Cote Brasserie.

To start with I had Warm Roquefort salad (Endive with walnuts, croutons and warm roquefort cheese dressing)

Helen had Warm Beetroot and Gem salad with a goats cheese and creme fraiche dressing.

    [IMG]P1010582 by J[/IMG]

Helens main was Roasted Duck Breast with Gratin potato and griottine cherry and veal sauce.

I was a tad boring and fancied a steak so I had Chargrilled Rib eye with frites and Béarnaise sauce. Steak was cooked to perfection!

    [IMG]P1010585 by Jrl], on Flickr[/IMG]

Finally we both had the Creme Caramel which is made in house and is the main reason we go to Cote. It is just superb. If you go try it as it may look simple but once eaten never forgotten!
