I like the look of this too...celeriac has a powerful celery smell when cooking it...but it's mild when you eat it...I love the stuff...I use it to bulk out mashed spuds too....Now if you'd cut the kiev open and let the garlic butter/herbs run onto the rest of the meal..it would have been even better looking...I'd have no problem scoffing this too....Originally Posted by struth

Today I'll be having some Welsh lamb cutlets, cooked on the BBQ (as it's a lovely sunny day here), with some fresh spinach, and rosemary, garlic, and olive oil-infused roast potatoes, and various other fresh veg. Pudding will be bananas flambéed in rum, butter and brown sugar, making a sort of alcoholic toffee sauce in the process, which will be poured over the bananas and served with a nice ball of quality vanilla ice-cream on the side, this time just for Granty!

It's basically potato, leak and spring greens boiled in veg stock, with a ray wing poached on top.
The interesting bit was frying some spring onions and chives, adding some Bread & Butter white wine and a big dollop of butter plus seasoning to make that yellow sauce. It did taste good.
Completely invented on the spot.
Today's brunch a double layer bacon and egg on cheap rubbish bread. It seems to suit bacon sarnies, though.
