Strange thing Grant but hot and spicy food has no effect on my IBS but anything wholemeal or high in fibre causes a lot of pain and takes several days to recover from. The dietician told me it's very rare that she has to tell someone to avoid a lot of fruit and veg and definitely no wholemeal bread.

Lol - no worries... Sometimes you're better with fresh chillies than anything else, and a sauce that isn't as rich and creamy. You may find it's the latter that affects you more than the heat or spices
Next time try some Jalfrezi. It's drier, and not as rich, but has more chilli.
