Default OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

    Back from a great meal.

I won the party games and this was my prize

    Son lost and got his

Started with a ham soup. Was wonderful and I had 2 plates

    Main course was this

    With this

    and savoury cabbage
    To make

Was gammon, turkey, pigs, 3 kinds of stuffing, two kinds of potatoes, roast carrot, roast parsnip and homemade gravy to die for.

    Followed by 2 puds

    A choc log and cream

Followed by my own sherry trifle that I brought home and has a bit of. Lovely it was too

    Regards,
    Grant .... ؠ

Looks *really*good, mate, especially the trifle (and gravy)! Only criticism is don't you eat legs or wings/thighs on a turkey?

Some pics of our own Christmas repast, plucked from another thread....

    Del's veggie asparagus starter:

Smoked pressed chicken terrine with mustard and honey, accompanied by thin strips of smoked Highland venison, with a fresh watercress salad and chive and crème fraîche dressing:

Free-range roast Gressingham goose, wrapped in Herefordshire streaky bacon, with a homemade pork, sage and cider stuffing, all the trimmings, and served with a rich port wine and redcurrant gravy:

Baked Comice pears with ricotta and Amaretti biscuits, with a red wine and Amaretto liqueur sauce:
