That fish looks proper, but I'd need mushy peas with it. And if my chippy didn't do them (all the chippys here do) I'd get some tins in the cupboard. It's that important.

I agree. Mushy peas are an essential part of any balanced diet. I can't imagine life without.

Aldi mushy peas are very good.

Peas yes, but mushy or marrowfat? I'm not so sure.

Quite right - wife isn’t impressed by mushy peas, but pleased to report that my youngest daughter loves them with fish and chips

Normally just get Bachelors, but we have an Aldi nearby, so I'll give them a go

Nice that they may form a healthy part of a balanced diet, though if the headlines read "Avoid mushy peas, they're radioactive!" I'd still probably eat them.

prefer the garden variety; sweet and softish after cooking yet hold their shape well. scotland isnt big on the mush, but i have seen them on menu of the odd chippy.

Yeah, Anita prefers garden peas. She had them in the pub yesterday with scampi and chips. I don't mind them but they'll a bit of a struggle to eat when you're trying to look civilised.
