I used to have and use a slow cooker when I was a student. You could use cheap cuts of meat and make very tasty meals, but there was so much preparation needed before the slow cooker could do its job, I stopped using it.

OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?
Had a great late lunch today at The Pier in Harwich. Was postponed from last weekend as we ended up cancelling it.
Started with Beef Carpaccio with Pickled Girolles, Blue Cheese and Rocket
Followed by Tandoori Hake with Spinach, Curried Cauliflower and Lime Hollandaise.
Shared a Milk Chocolate Mille Feuille with Poached Pear and Oat Granola for ‘puds’.
No vino this time round.
Enjoyed every mouthful.
