Lol... Nah, I'd persevere and try and get it right. I suspect you're probably rushing things a little. The *key* to making an authentic curry is to spend time preparing and making the BASE, and where all the herbs and spices are beautifully infused and blended together.
Only if you get that right, are the final results going to be any good. Think of like painting a wall without cleaning and sanding it first... It's all about the FOUNDATION!
