Ah I see... However, it was served hot, mate, not cold. Yes you can eat it cold, but it's not the same, and as you've pointed out, has a different consistency.
You like the taste of caramel and vanilla, don't you? Well, when you broken into the crunchy top, it tasted like caramelly toffee, which melted in your mouth, and the middle just like warm (very slightly set) vanilla cream.
Am I selling it to you, lol? Anyway, it was gorgeous!

Wanting to get back into rice again so am buying a new rice cooker. I had a cheapish one years ago and quite liked it considering the tech wasn't great. So gonna try a top notch one, as I want to get back to eating gaba etc brown rice is a bugger to cook properly in a pan
