    We were talking about puddings recently, chaps. This was Del's homemade crème brûlée, which finished off today's lunch (with fresh berries from our garden):



    A loving close-up:



    It was lovely! Nice crunchy top, which when broken into, revealed a lovely soft (but not too soft/slightly firm) creamy vanilla 'custard' underneath

    And some veg and fresh herbs from our garden she arranged into a basket to take to the church (to sell and help raise funds for the nuns):



    If it were me, I'd just have fired them into a carrier bag, but not Del - it HAS to look pretty..

    yeah, im not a custard person really, and especially cold set custard. it certainly looked great. When i make a trifle i use the stuff that doesnt set and only use less than usual amount. lace it with sherry tho lol
