We had some friends round today for lunch, and this is some of the food we enjoyed...
To start, fresh tortellini filled with spinach and ricotta and a fresh sage and butter sauce:
Accompanied with some crusty bread (and Parmesan cheese for the pasta):
Caprese salad (sliced vine tomatoes, drizzled with vinaigrette and topped with fresh basil, and 'Burrata' Mozzarella cheese):
Some 'dirty' potatoes (with soil still on) for making chips:
Washed, cut and ready for frying:
Dressed fine green beans and chopped shallots:
Getting the BBQ ready for a T-bone steak:
...almost done:
And served:
To finish, some fresh fruit salad, marinated in white wine and some sugar, to create a nice fruity, alcoholic juice:
All enjoyed in 19C sunshine, al fresco!
