Nah, you'd have loved it - with the whole vibe and ambience of the place. It wiz a very tasty 'work of art'!

The thing to remember though is that that kind of food, in some posh restaurant in London, would've cost at least THREE time that amount, and still might not have been as good...

That's why I love living where I do, because you can go out for lunch and have something like that, or the complete opposite, at some lovely quaint country pub, with a pint of superb local ale, miles away from the rat race, and not be ripped off!

Great job there, Tony! Particularly with the roti. The whole dish looks very tasty indeed. You can see how the meat is packed full of flavour

The only thing I'd say, and it's a personal thing, is that I prefer my curries to be a little more 'wet' (more liquid), so I can dunk my nan, chapati (or roti), into the sauce, but regardless I'd happily eat that

    Cheers Marco!

I did make it a dry curry intentionally this time. Just put the beef, spices, tomato, chickpeas and spinach in a casserole in the oven and slow cooked it to let all the ingredients break down snd infuse into each other. It was wetter than it looked.... Matron!

Only did the rice in case the Roti failed, but they were pretty good for a first attempt. Will roll them a bit thinner next time. They puffed up ok when I was cooking them.
