Today's Sunday lunch, sadly with no wine, due to Lent!
To start, mixed tomato and cheese tartlet [using red, yellow, orange and purple baby plum tomatoes, and ricotta and Pecorino Romano cheese], topped with parmesan crisps and dressed rocket leaves, all made from scratch:
Main course was slow-cooked beef brisket, served with a rich gravy (using red wine, beef stock, shallots, mushrooms, soy and Worcestershire sauce, all reduced down), accompanied by various fresh vegetables, including garlic mash and creamed spinach:

Yup, sure did! The tartlet was great. Lunch is sorted for tomorrow lol, as there's also plenty of beef left
That was nice too, and despite having been in a slow-cooker for 8 hours, was still lovely and moist/succulent. The gravy was also great! Always been a big gravy/sauce fan, as when you get it right [rich and tasty], it does enhance meat dishes. I really can't go dry/bland food, of any description.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the paella. It certainly looked fab yesterday, and certain foods cold can taste better than hot
