Anyway, getting up to date now with tonight's scran... Chargrilled Salt Dry-Aged (for 30 days) Sirloin Steak with onion rings and 'courgette chips', made from our garden produce:

Honestly, for the money, it's a very quaffable slurp, with bags of red-berry flavours, soft tannins and just a touch of acidity, but NO 'hard edges' whatsoever. Of course it doesn't have the 'length', finesse or structure of top-clarets (forget about that). but as a flavourful and enjoyable red to have with a nice steak, it hits the spot!
Highly recommended on the gluggable scale
