Chinese (ish) pork with rice (I mixed the remaining marinade with chopped tomatoes to make a sauce)

Tonight's tea at Marco Towers... Chargrilled sea-bream with a fresh lime, ginger and coriander crust, served with fresh egg noodles and broccoli tossed in chill, with a touch of soy sauce:

...washed down with a nice chilled bottle of rosé:

    It slipped down rather nicely!

Very nice, sea-bream, ginger and lime go together so well. I would wolf that down.

Cheers, guys. Yeah, Tony, it was a good combo... Don't eat as much fish as I should, but when I do I always enjoy it

    Royster, those chips look epic!

Egg noodles. Yum. Much underated food.

Toss in toasted sesame oil when serving naked like that for some added flavour. Well, at least try and see if you like

Default OK, What's For Lunch or Tea Today?

Managed to get my shit together enough to make some sourdough yesterday so I’ve made some sourdough rolls for no particular reason.

Also making Carnitas - Mexican dish of Boneless Shoulder of Pork, rubbed with salt, pepper, oregano and cumin and then slow cooked with onion, garlic, jalapeño and the juice of two oranges.

This dish is a gift that keeps on giving....

Once cooked for about eight hours, the pork is shredded with two forks then cooked (on one side only) in a hot frying pan or griddle.

What you end up with is tender, marinated pork, crisp on one side and soft and chewy on the other.
Perfect for stuffing into tacos or anything else that takes your fancy.
