Today's lunch., enjoyed al fresco in the warm Wrexham sunshine... Fresh rabbit, from our local butcher, made into a casserole with fresh stock/herbs, white wine, capers, smoked bacon lardons and Calamata olives, served with steamed rice and fine green beans:

...and washed down with a superb bottle of chilled Petit Chablis!

Followed by a 'trio of desserts', all homemade (including the meringue):

From left to right: chocolate mousse with marinated strawberries in syrup with cream, fresh meringue with cream and strawberries, and a mini-Tiramisu, topped with chocolate Flake.

    Awesome

Lol.... All three were superb, mate! Don't normally 'do' desserts/puds, but Del had made some for my uncle, who was visiting and loves them, and those were left over

Rabbit casserole was also great - very satisfying and tasty.

Lol, just caught this... Bling can be expensive, not just tat, and it's obvious that with your sister, the former applies. She also looks a good cook.

In terms of the table decoration, it's lovely if you like that look, but no disrespect dude, it's really not our thing. We like antique/vintage/retro stuff, and the country/rustic look. Don't do modern, which is why we live in a Victorian lodge house, not (what looks like) a penthouse suite in Dubai

It's very nouveau riche, '5-star Hilton', including the pool, which looks lovely [but would be better if it were located in a warm country, where no doubt it would be appreciated more], although again not really our scene. I had this conversation with Kevin (CageyH) when he was here, and posted pics of his (equally lovely) pool in his house in the South of France.

Neither Del or I are swimmers, or folks who lounge around pools or the beach. We prefer the countryside and mountains and hills... Just different strokes for different folks! Nice place to go though for a meal or a chill out - lucky boy

She became a multi-millionaire by buying and selling high priced ladies fashion and home interior items.

So while her tastes don't align with yours, she got filthy stinking rich by aligning with the taste of a lot of people.

I am amazed how successful she has been. I just see her as my sister. I think she must transform into something else in the workplace LOL.

Yups... She's obviously done very well for herself, and good luck to her. I always respect people who are able to make a success of something that they're passionate about

    So what happened to you?

It was 33 degrees C in the pool. Actually a bit hot for proper swimming but most people just want to take a dip and mess around, which that is a good temp for.

Was up til 5am with nieces and boyfriends somehow.

Outside Richmond Park. Planes fly over every minute scary low though they do move the flight path every few hours.

Even with the aircraft, some houses in the road fetch 10 million. Madness.
