Being dry and sunny but not too warm, I may cut the hedge after lunch. A bit more productive than dozing off!

Cut what there was of the grass (mainly so mower would hoover up some of the leaves) and did a quick weeding, not looking bad, could be greener.

Have a lot of damage in the garden recently, due to the cold spell and snow. Far more established plants look damaged than usual during winter.

I have several Fuchsias which look very dead. Should I cut them down and hope for regrowth or leave them with branches and dead leaves to give them a bit of protection ?

iwouldnt cut them back til your sure the frosts are over. then treat a bit like roses.. cut back to second bud to old growth. if they are devestated then you can cut back to near ground and with a bit of luck they will regrow.
