I was round at my dad's place today, watering his plants, as he's currently up in Scotland visiting family, so I thought I'd take a few pics of his gaff and garden [part of my future inheritance, lol]....

Cheers, mate. He loves his garden and really enjoys the space. He's friendly with all the immediate neighbours, some of whom he invites to lunch and cooks them fresh pasta! It's also less than a 10 min walk from my place (or 3 in a car) , and so as you know we see each other regularly, plus if something happens or he needs me for anything, I'm not far away
It's great at his age that he's still fit enough to do the work. I'll settle for that, if I reach his age!

Yeah mate, I totally get that. It's a true saying right enough: your health is your wealth... Wish I was nearer, so I could pop round and say hello.
The whole reason I brought my mum and dad down here beside us, from Glasgow, was to look after them in their old age. Didn't think my mum would succumb so soon to the big C, as she was literally as fit as a fiddle and made my dad look 'immobile'!But hey, shit happens...
At least he won't ever have to go into a home, as if/when he's no longer able to look after himself, we'll care for him in his own gaff, so that's where he'll spend his last days, enjoying his garden, not in some soulless old folks home
